It is bittersweet to say good bye to a dear one who has left this earth for their eternal home. It is hard on this side of eternity, but Christ's promise of eternal life through faith in Him is such a comfort.
Seeing life from my human perspective makes it hard sometimes to see things from eternity's perspective, which is glorious beauty and everything made new for ever and ever!
The thought of seeing clearly for the first time... no longer seeing as though "through a glass dimly", but experiencing utter perfection in full bloom, is so incredible it is hard to fathom, and yet that is the experience of the ones gone before, who through faith in Christ have joined Him in eternal glory! Their last breath here was their first breath in Heaven, and they are whole and perfect in indescribable beauty!
So, I can "let go" of the dear one, who is now in eternal beauty in Christ's presence, whole and rejoicing with others gone before, and know one day we'll be together again in God's beautiful Heaven.
John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever would believe in Him would not perish but have eternal life".
